This is not the first time that Glee has done a “you hurt me and I’m going to let you know it in front of the entire Glee club” song (see: “Gives You Hell,” “Bust Your Windows,” amongst others), but this performance is definitely the most vicious.
So for anyone who thinks that Blaine Anderson is a puppy incapable of giving as good as he gets, I present to you: this scene.
One of my favorite things about Blaine is that he’s *not* a puppy. BIOTA is one of my favorite episodes because it shows that however bitchy and mean Kurt can be, Blaine can be do. He gives it as good as he gets. (He’s a Fighter).
The important distinction, though, is that Blaine rarely initiates ANY sort of cruelty/viciousness/bitchiness. The only time we ever see Blaine being “mean” in any fashion is when he’s a) clueless b) AIMING FOR THE KNEECAP FOR MAXIMUM PAIN.
It’s why he and Kurt are soulmates. Kurt would absolutely *destroy* anyone who couldn’t keep up with his razor sharp wit and bitchiness. Together, they are vicious.
They are saintly and good and always on the moral high ground usually, but when they are mean they are mean together, and to each other. (Which is good, because if Kurt was dating someone without a spine he’d just use it to beat the shit out of them emotionally.)
Their grown-up/married fights are going to be wars, and it’s going to be amazing.
^^^^^^^^^^ Yes yes yes! I love that Blaine has been to shown to give as good and hard as Kurt does. They’re such equals, and that’s one of the things I love most about them.
Dude you don’t UNDERSTAND THE KIND OF HEADCANON I HAVE ABOUT THEIR MARRIED FIGHTS. Like I’m talking vicious bring out all the dirty laundry low blows fuck yeah I just changed the locks good luck getting back in the house, Sebastian and Dave are like watching with popcorn in the sidelines style fights.
